New Craft Beer Store

without comments

A new craft beer store just opened up in the olympic village: Legacy Liquor Store.

Selection is good, if not amazing, but they only just got going. With over 8000sf of floor space, though, they’ll have to struggle hard to fill it with only bad beer.

Of note, they have a good chunk of their stock online at their website, and offer delivery, which I didn’t even think was legal.

They’re also showing LDB prices for at least their Upright products. If those prices aren’t a mistake, and they hold up their promise of a 10% CAMRA discount, they’ll be hard pressed to kick me out (I should also point out that Jolly Pumpkin Bam Biere and several other brands appear to be free on that listing so, uh, I’m not sure what to make of it).

I’ll be heading over soon to check them out (and empty their entire stock of JP Bam), and I encourage everyone else to do likewise. With those olympic village buildings standing mostly empty (and the development having just gone into receivership), they could certainly use the help.

Update: Legacy has since taken their website offline (although, guys, fire your web guy, cuz it’s down in a very sloppy way, and you can still get at the store side.. also, ColdFusion? Really?). They have also updated their pricing to reflect reality (eg 12.35 for Upright). They are still a welcome addition to the local market, though, and I strongly encourage everyone to go give them some money.
